New rules on Spanish immigration law

The Spanish residence permit is renewed every two years, it is an extension of Spanish residence, you are required to visit Spain at least once every two years, there is no requirement on the time of your visiting.

About the permanent residence

*The permanent residence is renewed every five year, the documents including: two EX-11 forms; one photocopy of passport (the whole one)
*Bring your passport with you when you are applying; no criminal record. The above documents are required to translate into Spanish and bring them to the Consulate General of Spain for chop
*Extension of Permanent residence: Apply one month before it is expired and should not apply three months after it is expired and a relevant fine will be levied on the late submission; three months after it’s expiration can not be extended.
*Documents for the extension of a permanent residence: Photocopy of the whole passport; one EX-17 form; three photos with white background and same as your passport one; copy of your permanent residence.
 
According to the non business residence permit policy(old practice), anyone who spend EUR500,000 on buying property can still get a permanent residence on condition to a “immigration prison”, you have to live in Spain for half a year in every year.
