Canada adapted rigorous immigration scheme as rich Chinese flooded in

On the Civil Law Reform Proposal submitted by Canadian Federal Immigration department on 6^th, the requirement for Canadian investment immigration will be increased including the extension of “immigration prison”-refers to the term of residence after the green card is issued, enlarge the language requirement of the age and other requirements implying the tightening of the policy. The extension of “immigration prison” is to avoid the application of “astronaut”

The drafted proposal suggested a serial higher requirement for the immigrant; the most significant one is the regulation on the residence term, from three years within four years to four years out of six and a minimum of 183 residing days in Canada per year.

Besides, the drafted proposal also suggested that the language test should apply to the applicants from 14 to 64 years old; other new additions such as applicant’s taxation record and the increase of the application fee etc.

The senior consultant from Global Immigration Mr. Chen told the reporter from Beijing Youth Newspaper that the immigration policy of Canada has kept changing these years. It means that it becomes more and more rigorous for the inspection procedure on the Canadian immigrants.
